This morning I found myself with a little free time. I wanted to see what I could attempt to pull off so I decided that I would take two versions of Denise and get them to chat with one another via Skype. I took one version of Denise on my Microsoft Surface tablet and signed into my own personal Skype account. I then took another Denise that was running on a virtual windows 7 machine on my iMac and logged her into her own personal Skype account.
I attempted to call each of the programs to see what exactly they would talk about. While running my initial test I happened to notice that my audio configuration was off because they were not speaking to each other fully. They did respond occasionally however it couldn't be construed as a conversation. I figured I would try something new instead and come back to that little experiment at another time.
One thing that I really want is to be able to contact Denise through my cell phone. I had attempted this last week with minimal success. However when I tried it there was an extreme amount of interference with the speech recognition because the room I was in was not completely silent. In my opinion it was quiet however I had a TV on in another far away room, the fan from my PC was on, a ceiling fan was on, and my heater was on all at the same time. Having said all that, it did not go as I planned. Since I was home alone and it was fairly quiet, I decided that I would give it another shot. It apparently worked.
